T: State

Enjoy serene, untouched nature and historic sites such as the Boston Light, the oldest lighthouse in America, built almost three hundred years ago in 1716.

The Boston Harbor Islands are accessible from ferries leaving Long Wharf hourly between 10 and 5pm. Water shuttles between the islands are free.

In times past, the Harbor Islands served as military barriers to Boston itself. Early Bostonians also came to the islands as popular resorts.
