The Sheraton Commander is Harvard Square’s original Hotel and opened its doors in 1927. The Commander sits on the historic Cambridge Common, where General George Washington took command of the Continental Army in 1775. The statue of George Washington in the front is made directly from a plaster cast of the Commander himself.
In the restaurant, executive chef Michael Petrarca creates a seasonal eclectic cuisine with a New England flair. The sauces here are meticulously brewed to bring out the emulsions and infusions of fresh natural flavors.
